October 1  Pumpkinest is held the first Saturday of October each year in conjunction with the Ryan Norlin Memorial Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off; one of the largest Midwest weigh offs.  At the weigh off you will see pumpkins of record breaking size!   The Pumpkinfest downtown offers food and merchandise vendors, games for the kids,a 5 K race, crowning of the Prince and Princess,  horseshoe tournament, big wheel races, pumpkin carving exhibition and lots of other activites that lead up to the Main event- our Pumpkinfest Parade starting at 2:15 with the raffle drawing immediately following!   Fun for the whole family!

* 5k run registration 7 am event 8 am at Wapsipinicon State Park

* Weigh off of Giant Pumpkins starts at 8 am Lawrecnce Community Center

* vendors down town 9 am to 5 pm

**kids games, climbing rock wall and bungee jumping at 301 E Main St 9 -2:30 pm

*Recipie contest 121 E Main Street entries accepted until 10:00 am am

*11:30 Parade line up starts Walworth and 2nd (football hill).  Must be lined up by 1 if you wish to be judged.  Entry fee is $5 or bag of non perishable food items.  No pre registration required.
