Pumpkinfest Parade

2011 Rockin’ Around the Pumpkin Patch!

As in the past, we will have three judging categories for the Pumpkinfest parade. They are Business, Non-Profit, and Children. In each category trophies will be given for first place, and ribbons for second and third places. We look forward to seeing what your creative spirits do with this interesting theme!

No preregistration is required. You may download the registration form at your convenience to bring with you, but registration forms will be available at check in point.  Check in will be at the top of  the football hill (the intersection of South Garnavillo and Walworth Street).  Entry fee is a canned good or $5.00 donation for the local food pantry.You will be directed where to park your float at that time. Once your float has been parked, you may leave if you wish. We will start judging floats at approximately 1:00 p.m. so you may wish to be with your float at this time. The parade will start promptly at 2:00 p.m.

Please complete the information section of the registration as this will be used by the parade announcer to introduce your entry to the crowd.  We encourage you to give the announcer something interesting for the crowd to hear.

For safety reasons, those groups distributing candy at the parade must have walkers distribute the candy to the crowd. Please do not throw candy during the parade. It is our goal to keep the crowd back from the floats for the safety of the children.

Please remember to save candy for those children at the end of the parade.

All youth under age 16 operating motor vehicles must be accompanied by an adult.
