  • The Anamosa Chamber works on behalf of businesses of all sizes in the community to drive commerce, community and cultural opportunities for members. Remember at the chamber there are no strangers, just clients, colleagues and competitors you haven’t met yet.

2013 Board Members are:  President Dean Cox from F and M Bank, Vice President Jim Langer from Daly Creek Winery, Treasurer Jeff Stout from Citizen’s bank,  Patti Larson from Weers Insurance, Jim Johnson from Journal eureka, Jenny Butler from JRMC, Jennifer Koopmann from AmericInn, Jennifer Husmann from Jones County Safe and Healthy Youth Coaltion, Nancy Jesenovec from Back Home Chiropractic, Betty Weimer from Grounds and Goodies and Becky Dirks Haugsted from Journal eureka.  Chamber Coordinator is Carla Burge.

The board has just completed a retreat and have great plans to benefit the members.  Business after hours is held at a different each month and only business folk are invited.  The sponsor gets a 5 minute infomercial.  Contact Betty Weimer at Grounds and Goodies  or Carla Burge at the Chamber office if you are a member and wish to get on that list!    Banners have been designed for downtown and we will be having them printed soon by the Anamosa Prison Industries.  Each Chamber member will have their name on a banner.  We host the Pumpkinfest in October, and co host with the down town businesses the Home and Garden Show in March and Magic on Main Friday after Thanksgiving.  The Annual meeting is held in January.  The Spring Prayer breakfast is another event sponsored by the Chamber and is held Good Friday Morning at the Lawrence Community Center.
