April 23 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Community Center, the Chamber will host a Lunch & Learn featuring representatives from Skywalk presenting tips for hiring the right person. Lunch will be provided.  Please call 462-4879 to make a reservation.

Charlie Becker of Camp  Courageous will be the guest speaker at the 31st Annual Chamber of Commerce Spring Prayer Breakfast which will be held at the Lawrence Community Center on Friday, April 18th 7 A.M.  Breakfast will consist of egg casserole fruit potatoes and sweet treats.  First Congregational UCC Choir will provide the music.   Tickets are $7.50 in advance  or may be purchased at the door for $8.50.  Tickets are sold at: Journal Eureka office, Lawrence Community Center, Fidelity Bank, F&M Bank, Citizens Bank and Chamber office (all of Anamosa) and the Monticello Chamber office.

The Anamosa Area Chamber of Commerce will host the25th  Annual Pumpkinfest again this year on Saturday, October 5th. The Norlin family will host the  Annual Ryan Norlin Pumpkin Weigh-Off on October5th in search for a world record again this year. A Growers from all over the Midwest and as far away as Colorado and Michigan compete for $6,750 in prizes.
